Hi, I am brand new to this forum. I am a musician with a new project and have been having some trouble trying to figure out what genre we fit into, it's hard to advertise for new band members and to promote without a definite genre to name...having said that, I would be so happy if a few of you would give a listen to our project and see what you think... Thanks in advance! Loretta Here's the links: www.bearcavetower.comwww.reverbnation.com/lorettaallenmusic

Your blues song "Miss Celie's Blues" sounds a lot like it is from musical theater. "Portrait of Love" sound like it has european folk music origins. The guitar playing has a European folk appeal to it with a few riffs sounding like it could have classical underpinnings. Overall, I don't really hear much classical in your style, except occasionally on the guitar riffs and occasionally in your singing where a little of a baroque style appears. I wish I could be of more help. I don't have a strong music background, but I really don't hear much classical in your style, but mostly contemporary folk and light jazz (blues) styles. If you want a more classical appeal, perhaps add a violin part. I like what I hear. I wish you success. Douglas
